Over eighteen years ago, our history begins. Agricultural mechanisation was then facing a new phase. The increase in scale, professionalisation of arable farms, optimisation and mechanisation of arable farmers’ machinery made its appearance. VSS Machinebouw was founded in 2005 by Arjan V<\/u><\/strong>erpoorte, Peter-Jan van S<\/u><\/strong>abben and Andr\u00e9 S<\/u><\/strong>chouwenaar. They are thus the namesakes of the company. VSS Machinebouw partnered with Machinefabriek Cappon in Heinkenszand, producing innovative machines for the agricultural sector as well as parts for industry.<\/p>\n

A new line of tillage machines was created in 2006 and 2007 under the brand name VSS Agro,<\/a> <\/strong>with seedbed cultivators<\/a><\/strong>, front soil preparers<\/a> <\/strong>and pressure rollers<\/a><\/strong>. However, the basis of the current generation of VSS machines is much further in the past. VSS took over both the product range and the production of AMAC and Cappon between 2008 and 2010. Two traditional Zeeland companies with a rich history going back more than 100 years. Both sold and supplied a wide range of potato and onion harvesting machinery and tillage techniques worldwide. The foundations were laid by de Jonge’s forge in ‘s Heerenhoek and Cappon’s factory in Heinkenszand. THE BIRTH OF VSS AMAC<\/h2>\n

In 2008, a partnership was formed with AGRIMAC, the owner of brands AMAC, CLIMAX and AGRIFAC. Production of AMAC row tillers, front tillers, onion harvesters and haulm toppers was started. In addition, VSS Machinebouw also took care of the supply and production of parts for all AMAC machines. At the end of 2008, this cooperation resulted in the complete acquisition of the AMAC operations by VSS Machinebouw. Its production continued at Oudelande. The brand name also changed: VSS AMAC<\/a> <\/strong>was born.<\/p>\n

In 2009, the new development of VSS AMAC machines was taken up and immediately resulted in a new onion harvester<\/a> <\/strong>and onion topper<\/a><\/strong>. FROM THREE TO TWO STRONG BRANDS<\/h2>\n

A period followed in which VSS Machinebouw carried three brand names: VSS Agro, VSS AMAC and VSS Cappon. Three strong brands all with a very extensive product range of agricultural machinery and parts. At the end of 2018, the entire product range of VSS Cappon was brought under the VSS Agro brand. Since then, VSS Machinebouw has been operating under two brand names: VSS Agro<\/a> <\/strong>and VSS AMAC<\/a><\/strong>. Although the Cappon name never completely disappeared: the well-known VSS Cappon Roll<\/a> <\/strong>remained.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, VSS Machinebouw’s product range is very extensive, with more than 40 products.
