VSS AMAC STOCK HARVESTER FOR LARGE CAPACITY AND MANEUVERABILITY
Ever better quality and higher capacity is what all arable farmers want. That’s why VSS Machine Construction has developed the VSS AMAC VR series of stock harvesters. This stock harvester is distinguished by its large capacity and maneuverability. Harvesting two, three or four rows of potatoes at the same time is no problem with the machine. All VR Series models have a robust open frame, allowing you to maintain a clear view of the product.
The VSS AMAC Stock Harvester has its own hydraulic system, with cooling. This keeps maintenance costs to a minimum and allows all functions and speeds of the machine to be controlled electrically – steplessly – from the cab. Pretty nice.
HARVESTING AND SIEVING
Due to the longer bar belts, the sieving capacity is significantly higher than in small versions of the stock harvesters (VSS AMAC VR-SX and VRA). The VR 1500 and 2500 have one long feed channel containing the harvester and screening belt. The VR 3000 has two long input channels, optionally one open input channel is possible. A hydraulically driven beater is mounted under the harvester belt. The long sieve belt has two beaters. All beaters are infinitely adjustable in intensity. The long sieving belt provides a large(er) sieving capacity and a low angle of inclination, preventing the harvested product from rolling back.
NUMEROUS OPTIONS FOR THE VR
The harvesters can be optionally equipped with a powered haulm roller with haulm fingers behind the sieve belt. These ensure that the haulm is separated from the product before the product reaches the deposit belt. Another option: an auger with powered windrow roller for an even, clean windrow. The auger brings out the haulm – separated by the haulm rollers so it does not lie on the windrow. The pressure of the swath roller is adjustable, making it possible to create a suitable swath for any application.
The machine’s wide tires are hydraulically controlled and you can straighten them using the automatic center position. Optionally, the machine is available with wheel drive. The steered wheels make the VR an agile machine, and combined with a steered drawbar (optional), it is possible to drive at dog walk.
DIFFERENT DEPOSITION POSSIBILITIES
The machine comes standard with a swath laying belt. The VSS AMAC Stock Harvester can be optionally equipped with a side-discharge conveyor instead of the windrow discharge conveyor. The side-laying belt places the product to the left or right in the adjacent rows still to be harvested. Optionally, a center/side deposit belt is also available, which is a combination of the windrow deposit belt and side deposit belt. The product can be either centered or to the right. Finally, only for the VR 3000 machine, an optional deposit is possible with two side deposit belts, eliminating the swath deposit belt. A double side deposit serves purely as a capacity enhancement. Combined with another harvester (with bunker/loader), the operation is very efficient.

The VR series of potato storage harvesters consists of 3 different models: the VR 1500, the VR 2500 and the VR 3000. All variants can be expanded and/or customized with additional options to create the machine to your liking.
