AMAZONE begins partnership with VSS Machinebouw
German agricultural machinery manufacturer AMAZONEN-WERKE and Zeeland-based VSS Machinebouw B.V. of Oudelande recently entered into a sales partnership. VSS Machinebouw has been known in agricultural engineering for years for professional packer and rollers under the brand name VSS Agro and will in the future further complement the Amazon plough range
in this segment. This means that AMAZONE’s sales partners and customers can rely on the long-standing expertise of a specialist when it comes to targeted reconsolidation after tillage.
AMAZONE ploughs with the integrated VSS Agro Furrow Press attachment are now available through AMAZONE and in the Netherlands through AMAZONE / VSS Agro dealer Kamps de Wild. The attachment set is suitable for the following types of ploughs: Teres 300 and Teres 300 V, and with the Cayros XMS with 3 or 4 shares, all without hydraulic overload protection system.
Machine operation
The Furrow Press runs parallel to the plough and automatically adjusts to the working width, eliminating the need for (double) reworking. As a result, soil compaction always remains even, even when the working width is changed. Moreover, the furrow press can already be used from the first furrow in the field. Headland ploughing is problem-free with the integrated packer system.
Integrated to the plough
VSS Machinebouw offers packer rings in various sizes. In combination with the AMAZONE plough, the open rings with a diameter of 700 mm enable effective post-compaction. The pressure of the furrow press can be adjusted mechanically using stop on the arms or hydraulically.
A major advantage of the VSS Agro Furrow Press is the fact that the machine is integrated with the plough. This results in significant time savings during transport, as the coupling and uncoupling is no longer necessary and eliminates the need to transport the machine separately. Finished in the AMAZONE design, the two devices form a harmonious unit that stands out both from a technical and aesthetic standpoint.
With the VSS Agro furrow press attachment, the benefits of an integrated packer system can now be used with AMAZONE ploughs.
